HC PVE : Innovators not Emulators

Many developers and engineers will be aware that with the price of land at a premium underground car park ventilation has become a big issue in recent years.New systems were introduced in Holland in the early 90's and although 10 years old at the time these innovative systems eventually found there way to the UK around 2000. Known collectively as Impluse or Jet systems these systems have become the predominant system in recent years.
Most Companies involved in car park ventilation design are fan manufacturers who have been keen to keep these axial fan impulse systems alive simply because in spite of being dated they use approx 3 x the number of fans used by the more modern Induction System.
Invented & patented in Holland during 2001 the Induction system was introduced to the UK by Parking Ventilation Equipment ( PVE UK Ltd) in 2003
PVE MD Ernie Wehden says it is common knowledge that the companies linked to Fan manufacturers have been desperately trying to keep the old axial based system in prominence. However the UK industry is not fickle and engineers and regulators are no longer slow to change. Today's engineers are anxious to grasp all forms of new technology and we have been suprised by how quickly our system has been adopted across all areas of industry.
What we have found is that impulse fan providers have eventually realised they are fighting a lost cause and are trying to change course using all sorts of corrupt copies of the original 1st generation induction fan. We have due to our continual innovation policy already invented the much-improved 2nd generation fan and believe we are far ahead of all competitors.
Unfortunatly we have also found that because our design principals differ from impulse many car park ventilation designs have been made by fan enginners who do not understand the basic design concept or philosophy of induction ventilation. They appear to believe it is simply a matter of using fewer fans and appear to have little idea where fans should be positioned. We are often asked to review and comment on bodged designs produced by others. This leaves us to comment ' When dealing with a fire safety system it is imperative that the design engineer knows how to calculate a working system and to do so he must at least know the exact effect of the fans he is proposing'.
Parking Ventilation Equipment is now part of the Dutch HC Group and we are growing at an extraordinary rate in the UK. Our Engineers invented the original Impulse system and now the preferred Induction principle. We are by nature innovators not emulators and we are delighted that our design concept is fast becoming the predominatnt system wordwide
